Changed traffic conditions for Jacksonia Grove, Bega

Bega Valley Shire Council advises vegetation work will be carried out along the Bega River trail and Jacksonia Grove on Monday 5 May, weather permitting.

Bega Valley Shire Council advises vegetation work will be carried out along the Bega River trail and Jacksonia Grove on Monday 5 May, weather permitting.

Local contractors will be carrying out tree pruning and the removal of one hazardous tree.

We do not take decisions to remove trees lightly but we need to manage  the safety of people using the area.

A road closure will be in place for Jacksonia Grove, between 6am and 5pm.

For the duration of the works, there will be no thoroughfare between the Old Racecourse and Auckland Street, via Jacksonia Grove or the Bega river trail. There will also be no on-street parking.

Access to the Bega River carpark at Auckland Street will remain available. Access to the Old Bega Racecourse will be available via East Street.

Signs will be in place.
