An application has been received to develop land at Cattle Bay Road, Eden for the purpose of modification to staging of the development.
Council has received a Section 4.55(1A) Application to modify Development Consent 2019.208 as follows:
Description of Approved Development: Staged 154 berth marina and associated wave attenuator and piles in the waters of Cattle Bay, ancillary carparking, offices and amenities. Stage 1 – Wave attenuator, Refurbishment of existing wharf, Marina main arm, Part marina berthing arms with 85 vessel berths, Land based office, amenities, 50 car parking spaces and landscaping. Stage 2 – Completion of marina berthing arms with additional 69 vessel berths and 47 car parking spaces
Description of Proposal: Modification to staging of the development
The application and plans relating to the development are available on Council’s website Application Tracker at www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au, for a period of 28 days from 6 June 2025 to 5 July 2025 (excluding Public Holidays).
Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, copies of your submission can be made publicly available. You can request that your name and address not be disclosed by writing ‘OBJECTION IN CONFIDENCE’ on your submission, however we may still be obliged to release these details. Submissions that do not contain the author’s name and address may not be considered, as we will be unable to validate their authenticity.

If you make a submission you are required to disclose information about any political donations or gifts. This includes all reportable political donations made to any local Councillor of Council and all gifts made to any local Councillor or employee of Council, within a period of two years before the application is made. Under the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 the development was classed as Designated Development. It was also classed as ‘Integrated Development’ which means that approval was also required from;
NSW Department of Primary Industries (Fisheries) - A Permit was required in accordance with the provisions of the Fisheries Management Act 1994.
