20 May 2025
Bega Valley Shire Council advises that parking improvement works at Merimbula Airport will commence on Monday 26 May and are expected to continue for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
During this period, there will be a minor reduction in available parking spaces.
To help minimise disruption, the new northern roadway in the airport precinct will be opened for public use. This includes the removal of temporary fencing in that area to provide additional parking access.
For everyone's safety, a temporary speed limit on Arthur Kaine Drive will be in place to allow access for work vehicles and machinery.
These works are part of ongoing efforts to improve airport parking facilities, with the completed project set to deliver improved access and a slight increase in parking capacity.
Council thanks the community for its patience and cooperation while these important works are underway.
