Bega Valley Shire Council advises road works will be carried out on Kirkland Avenue, between Carp Street and Meringo Street from Monday 15 September to Thursday 25 September, weather permitting.
Contractors and Council staff will be carrying out road surface stabilisation works. Road surface stabilisation, or pavement stabilisation, involves reinforcing, repairing and replacing existing road surface structures, helping create a more reliable and resilient roadway, extending the life of the road and improving safety for drivers.
The section of road will be closed for the duration of the works. Road users are advised to detour via Upper and Peden Street. Detour signs will be in place.
Council thanks the community for their patience while these important works are undertaken.
