Bega Valley Shire Council advises urgent repair works will be carried out on Mount Darragh Road from Thursday 7 August to Tuesday 19 August, weather permitting.
This marks the first stage of flood restoration works to remediate damaged culvert infrastructure and help protect Cusacks Creek crossing from future weather events.
The works will take place on Mount Darragh Road at Cusacks Creek crossing, Seven Mile Creek, approximately 500m west of the Box Range Road intersection and 13km west of the Princes Highway intersection at South Pambula.
Contractors will be carrying out the works Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.
Traffic control will be in place for the duration of the works, with access reduced to a single lane. Road users should expect delays.
Council thanks the community for their patience and cooperation while these important works are undertaken.
Further work will be carried out at this location to repair the outlet side of the culvert once all required permits have been obtained.
This project is proudly supported through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
