Council’s Aquatic and Leisure Facilities Coordinator, Nicholas Hoynes shared how staff and contractors have been preparing for the upcoming season.
“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another season at our swimming pools across the shire,” said Mr Hoynes.
“Staff and contractors have been busy carrying out general maintenance and minor asset renewals works in preparation for the upcoming season.
“The pump and motor issues at Bega War Memorial Pool that finished our last season a week early has been resolved and will keep the facility operating until it is re-developed.
“We will share more information on the redevelopment project with the community as planning progresses.
“The team also looks forward to continuing the management of the Bega War Memorial Pool and we thank the community for their patience through this transition.
“With recruitment underway, we are eager to welcome both new and returning team members.
“We still have some opportunities available for people interested in joining our Aquatic and Leisure Facilities team. Those interested are encouraged to visit Council’s Careers webpage and subscribe to our Job Alerts.”
More information will be shared regarding individual pools and programs in the coming weeks.
