23 July 2025

Bega Valley Shire Council advises geotechnical investigation works will be carried out on Upper Brogo Road on Tuesday 29 July, weather permitting.

This is the first stage of flood restoration works that will enhance the road’s durability and protect the road surface from damage in future weather events.

The works will be carried out about 1.7km west of the intersection with Waterloo Creek Road, approximately 11.6km from the Princes Highway intersection at Verona.

Changed traffic conditions with traffic control will be in place for the duration of the works. Road users should expect delays.

Council thanks the community for their patience while these important works are undertaken.

Following this stage of works, a block retaining wall will be constructed to stabilise the embankment. An update with opportunities for community input will be provided in the coming weeks.

This project is supported through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
