Bega Valley Shire Council is hosting a free online webinar on how to secure grant funding for community groups and businesses on Tuesday 25 February from 12pm to 1pm.

Council’s Corporate Planning and Improvement Manager, Kaliegh Smerdon said the All About Grants webinar is about sharing tips and ideas for the best chance of success when applying for grant funding.

“Our Grants Management Officer, Casey Cole will help you understand what grant programs are looking for and how to align your application to those particular grants.

“Key components of a high-quality submission will be explained, from breaking down questions to providing robust evidence.

“We will also look at strategies for gathering supporting evidence such as letters of support and meeting program guidelines as well as understanding project reporting and acquittal requirements.

“This will be invaluable for people wanting to prepare for and write grant applications.

“You will also hear about Council’s Community Grants program which is currently open until 31 May, and how to submit a Community Project Proposal for projects on Council owned or managed land or a Use of Public Land application.”

Community groups and business owners can register for the grant writing workshop via booking webpage.
